We're using D&D 3rd Edition, but there are a few rules that we have extended/changed:
We're using the Point-Buy Option for Attribute Generation. Using the 'Tougher Campaign' value of 28 pts. The modified point-cost table below is to be used.
| Attribute | Point Cost |
| 3 | -5 |
| 4 | -4 |
| 5 | -3 |
| 6 | -2 |
| 7 | -1 |
| 8 | 0 |
| 9 | 1 |
| 10 | 2 |
| 11 | 3 |
| 12 | 4 |
| 13 | 5 |
| 14 | 6 |
| 15 | 8 |
| 16 | 10 |
| 17 | 13 |
| 18 | 16 |
Scores above 18 are possible, but only with Racial Modifiers added in. A negative point cost (above) adds points back into your pool. So if you take a 3 in one attribute, that will give you 5 points to spend elsewhere. Note: taking a 3 in ANY attribute is not advised
If you roll a one on any roll for hit points, you get to reroll it ONCE. If you roll another one, it was meant to be.
(Note: the balancer on that is I use the same formula for determining NPC/monster hps)
We will try and maintain that we will play once a month, although preferedly more than that. I will try and arrange a bi-weekly time that suits everyone, however if players have to be gone, I will NPC them with the promise that they won't die unless everyone in the party dies, and you only get a 1/2 share of experience for the session. If half the group cannot attend, the session will be rescheduled.
